An important story

The Palace

In 1900, renowned Italian architect Carlo Busiri Vici envisioned a neo-Renaissance style palace. He borrowed from the Renaissance’s classic architectural elements, gables and columns, to create symmetrical elegant shapes. The interiors, never commonplace or ornamental, are a reflection of meticulous attention to detail. They provide the hotel with that “fin de siècle” elegance –  theatrical yet perfectly captured by the concept of “understated luxury”.

History

The Transformation

A venue in constant transformation: the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel opened its doors in 1905 as the “Palace of the Ambasciatori”, a residence for ambassadors visiting Rome. From 1946 to 1993, the Palace Hotel was the home of the US Embassy Library.

A location that requires no introduction – Via Veneto – the boulevard of glamor, cinema, the crossroads for internationally renowned actors, musicians, and artists. The backdrop for Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, home of the paparazzi, the street for five-star Roman accommodation and hospitality excellence.
